BABALU Fishing Tackle aims to provide an online experience usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities or who use assistive technologies.

1. SCOPE

This statement applies to the babalu.pt website, including institutional pages, catalogue, cart and content controlled by BABALU. Some checkout steps and built-in features are provided by Shopify or third-party providers.

2. ACCESSIBILITY OBJECTIVE

Our goal is to progressively improve the website with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2, level AA, and applicable legal requirements. This reference represents a working objective and not a full declaration of conformity or certification.

3. MEASURES ADOPTED

Measures considered in the development and maintenance of the store include:

  • semantically organized structure of titles and contents;
  • keyboard navigation in features controlled by the theme;
  • sufficiently perceptible contrast and visual states;
  • alternative texts on relevant images;
  • clear labels on forms and understandable error messages;
  • simple language and links with an identifiable purpose; and
  • periodic tests on the most important pages and routes.

4. KNOWN LIMITATIONS

Despite our efforts, barriers may exist in legacy content, third-party applications, widgets, embedded media, payment tools, machine translation, or platform components that are not fully controlled by BABALU.

We are reviewing these situations by priority, paying special attention to navigation, search, variant selection, cart, shipping calculation, checkout, forms and access to policies.

5. ALTERNATIVE FORMAT FEEDBACK AND REQUESTS

If you encounter a barrier or require information in a reasonable alternative format, please contact hello@babalu.pt with the subject “Accessibility”. To facilitate analysis, indicate:

  • the address of the page or feature;
  • the problem found;
  • the browser, device and supporting technology used, if applicable; and
  • the format or solution you consider appropriate.

We will try to confirm receipt and respond normally within five working days. Issues that rely on external providers or complex technical changes may require additional time, in which case we will endeavor to provide a reasonable update.

6. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Accessibility is an ongoing process. This statement will be updated when there are relevant changes to the website, applicable requirements or improvement measures adopted.
